Description
I was out in the garden this morning doing some repairs on our watering system when I spotted the light filtering through the trees lighting up our ginger plants. Knowing these conditions are fleeting I set down the tools and grabbed the camera. I liked how the light hit the pair of blooms and then the spot lighting and the little party crasher on the solitaire. >=))>
Specific Feedback
Dappled light is a lot of fun to work with and I tried to be careful not to blow the whites on several of the frames. Had to do a tiny bit of BG cleanup on the first two with some hot spots in the BG. Does that look ok to you?

Nice job on handling the lighting in these, Bill. All the images look good to me, though my sense of balance wants just a touch of clockwise rotation in the first one. I’ve never seen one of these and it’s a very interesting plant. Does it get nutrients from the bugs that get caught in the little water tanks?

Do you harvest the roots? We love it in many dishes and I really should try growing some. (Would have to be in pots.) A slab of fresh-caught salmon rubbed with dill, shredded ginger and crushed garlic is a big favorite.
Downs tools and walks - definitely the right choice. That light is super and really helps the 3D quality come through. No evidence of clean up in the medium view. Would disappear that little bit of water on the edge in the first one and the light bit on the left leaf in the second. Other than that…what’s not to love?
