I liked the golden background with the Golden-crowned Sparrow , though would have preferred a less steep angle.

Hello, I love the background and foreground here. The colours are great and support the golden crown. The angle may not be ideal yet it gives a sense of royal imperiousness befitting the “crown”. I like that there is enough detail in the wing and head to look at.

Nice detail in the bird, and a regal look, for sure. Just an idea for a crop:

Great image, Allen. I like the overall comp as is. Although a little off the top wouldn’t hurt any. I like Diane’s crop but losing the feet and tail kinda hurts.
