Even though quite common, I love GBH’s and take lots of shots of them.
This one was hunting around in the marsh, and came up with a nice morsel.Oregon

This guy really has his eye on the prize. Nice catch of the bug in the air. The blue and white feathers on his chest almost look like it is braided. Great detail and composition.
Thanks

Very good, Sandy. Excellent action and the close-up works very well with the small prey.

Hi Sandy
Nice midair shot. the water droplets are a plus.
Peter

Nice catch Sandy - this looks great viewed large! Wonder what the morsel is - maybe a spider? Water drops are terrific. Well done capture.

Really nice close-up look at the heron. Nice detail in the whites and the blue color of the heron shows up well. Perfect timing with the catch.

Perfect timing, Sandy. I love the water drops as well.

Allen, I think it’s some little crustacean, but not sure

Excellent moment to capture with the bug in air and the falling water droplets. The egret is very sharp with lots of details on its fine plumage.
