What a wonderfully engaging photo!
Beautiful reflection image Sandy. The only thing I’d change in this (and I have no idea how to do it) would be to bring the reflected water drops up just a trifle. But as I said, I can’t think of how that could be done without blowing it way up and doing them one at a time which would be pretty tedious.
@Dennis_Plank
Yeah, I thought so too, but was too lazy to do it.
Maybe I’ll give it a shot later.
Thanks for the nudge!
Hi Sandy, what an elegant scene. Love the calmness of the water coupled with the action of the take off. The reflection is terrific and great to see the water drops coming up. The sprigs of vegetation is icing on the cake. Well done.
HI Sandy
Very Zin. I just love the little green shoots and the reflection.

What a poetic, graceful beauty. And, technically perfect too. Wonderful detail and composition - the water plants add to the interest and symmetry of the image . I love your poetic description. It defines your vision. This is a tiny thing, probably unnecessary, but might you expand the real estate just a touch at the bottom to even out the space between the bird’s reflection and the bottom of the frame? Amazing capture and presentation - did you have to wait long to get this? Were you at ground level with your camera?
Sandy: absolutely fabulous!
Thank you for the very unexpected EP! I took Dennis’s suggestions to heart, but didn’t have time to edit.
Edited and re-posted - improved, hopefully.
A tiny bit of straightening as well
