Gray Hornbills

For my retirement, we took a 17 day trip to South Africa. During our first safari drive into the bush we came across these guys. Actually they followed us everywhere we went that evening. I rarely attempt to photograph birds (too impatient) but these guys made it easy. They also got me interested in other birds in the area.

It’s a lot of fun to go on a birding trip especially to a place like South Africa. Changes one’s whole perspective after living in the dark and rainy Pacific Northwest. I like the three great hornbills and their distribution. The focus seems a little soft on the heads. If you have access to Topaz AI Clear you can probably remedy that situation

Thanks David! I’ll give Topaz a try.

I had to open the thumbnail to find out where you found hornbills in the Pacific Northwest! Good eye contact with all three birds. Agree a little soft.

I acquired Topaz and I really like it’s power. Here’s an detail-enhanced version.
