Spotted this guy while paddling in Bigelow Hollow State Park last week. He was so hunched down and still I almost passed him by. I’m always amazed by how they can “freeze” when they sense someone nearby.

I like the pose in this image. Your color balance is good. The point of focus is on the neck rather than the head. I think if you had reasonable focus on the eye and head you would have more detail in the white plumage which appears to be slightly blown. Keep trying though.
