Green snake

Seen one Spring day at a local fishing lake when I was out looking for warblers.

Allen, I like the clean line and composition here, and the colors work great.

It’s almost minimalistic. Because the emphasis really is the curved line against a clean background, I’d be tempted to crop a bit from the left to better match the distance you have from the edge of the frame to the snake on the right side. I know why you left it the way you did–and it really does work fine–but to me the bold graphic element of the line and shape call for a bit more symmetry and balance.

I like this Allen! One of the prettiest snakes around. The comp is very simple. The bgnd works well for me and I like your choice of crop.

Snakes are difficult to compose and you did well with this snake. I’d leave this one as presented…Jim

So simple…yet so beautiful !

Simple and stunning. I agree with Max’s thoughts on cropping for symmetry -
Well-done!

Allen: that’s a stunner!! I like the simplicity of the curve of the snake against the oof background. It’s simple and elegant and also a wall hanger. Richard
