Description
I started to post this yesterday but realize there is some problems with the initial image so I re-created this image that was taken at the same time there is a different frame. The frame I posted yesterday was very noisy. I don’t know if the processing has something to do with it or if there were some other issues. In many cases does look a lot cleaner to me. This is one of my favorite birds. It is small and it’s very Cute.

David, the weaving detail in the feathers is simply amazing. Excellent portraiture view of this gorgeous bird…
Not a nit at all but I might turn the gamma down slightly for another look. That is totally subjective from monitor to monitor viewing. Just a thought…
David, nice job capturing such a clean portrait of this lovely species.
To me the image has a yellowish cast, but that could be my monitor. Also, did you do some selective processing to lighten the bird? I’m getting this impression because the center of the branch looks noticeably brighter than the edges, as though there’s a vignetting or spotlight effect happening.
Your shot of the Green Toucanette is really striking. The way you’ve captured the vivid green of its feathers against the soft, blurred background highlights the bird beautifully. I appreciate the sharpness of your focus—it brings out every detail in the feathers and the beak, really showcasing the bird’s character.
This photo does a fantastic job at highlighting the simplicity and elegance of the Green Toucanette, emphasizing its role in nature and its quiet beauty. Great work on capturing this moment.
Nice job on this one, David. /the greens are really popping here. I can see how there might be an impression of a yellow color cast, but I think it’s just a lot of yellowish green foliage in the background. You could check the white at the base of the beak to be sure.
This is a really nice image of a really cool bird David. I like the colors and the balance of it. One tiny little nit, but check between the feet and the perch for a bit of noise reduction, only visible in the largest image.
