Shot this fellow at the same state park as the pintails. In post, I cropped a pretty healthy amount, sharpened, and toned down some bright spots in the background. All C&C welcome.

Excellent POV, DOF, detail, color, and BG. If you have the patience, you could remove som of the specular highlights on the beak and face.
Very nice Lyle. nice angle and profile capture here. Love the feather patterns on this species. Nice catch of the water drop. I think the background and water colors are complimentary. Well done.
I really like the nice low angle with the reflection of the white feathers leading right into bird. Soft and nice warm earth tone colors add a lot to image. PS healing brush will often taken care of those little specular highlights.
This held up nicely to your crop, Lyle. Lovely detail and I like your low angle. The brown reflections work well and the drop is a nice bonus. I do wish that white stripe were a bit more subdued, but that’s the bird’s fault, not yours.
Excellent shot, Lyle! I like the low angle and the detail is great, especially considering a sizable crop! Colors and exposure are really nice also. Well done!
