Shot this fellow at the same state park as the pintails. In post, I cropped a pretty healthy amount, sharpened, and toned down some bright spots in the background. All C&C welcome.

Excellent POV, DOF, detail, color, and BG. If you have the patience, you could remove som of the specular highlights on the beak and face.

I really like the nice low angle with the reflection of the white feathers leading right into bird. Soft and nice warm earth tone colors add a lot to image. PS healing brush will often taken care of those little specular highlights.
This held up nicely to your crop, Lyle. Lovely detail and I like your low angle. The brown reflections work well and the drop is a nice bonus. I do wish that white stripe were a bit more subdued, but that’s the bird’s fault, not yours.
