Green

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

While driving on a a gravel road in the forest, I kept getting glimpses of a creek through the trees and bushes. I finally found a place to get down to the creek and discovered it to be a delightful little stretch of water. The sun was coming through the tree canopy that was arching over the water and the green from the trees was reflecting off everything. I felt like I was breathing green. Since it was summer, the water was fairly low and I was able to get out (with some difficulty) to this crazy whirlpool that caught my eye.

Chris, this is a great looking “big green swirl”. The reflected greens both in the water and off the mossy shore are contrasted well with the swirls of blue. I like the mix of moving water and stable shore, with all of that set off well by the step near the bottom.
