Guanella pass on a wet day.

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

first time capturing a water fall for me and after trial and error this is the best of the day.
Enjoyed experiencing this as the rain and snow melt made this a very powerful flow coming down the mountain.

Looks great!
My only thinking is that I would like to see some more dark areas on the left part of the frame to help isolate the water. Nice work on the exposure speed and processing!

Matt Payne, thank you for taking the time to take a look.
I agree you got me looking now at my other shots from Monday.
Thanks this is very helpful!

Lovely scene, Mathieu. It would be nice to have dark rocks or something to contain the water on the left side of the frame, visually speaking. OR, allow it to flow a bit more by giving it more space, since the water is flowing in that direction. Either way could work. Iā€™d love to see what else you made while there.

Thank You Brenda for the feedback!
Matt Payne said the same thing in his critique, and I agree with both of you.
I think I need to take my time and not be in such a rush when capturing images.
I was so fixed on getting my shutter speed right I was overlooking my composition. I am posting one other image tonight from that day would love to get your thoughts.
Thank You again this has been very helpful.
