I saw this jumping spider out on the shepherds pole trying to stay in the shade (up close to 100 here in NC today). I grabbed my macro camera setup and ran out and captured a few shots. I like this one pretty good as he turned and faced me.
Canon 5D II, Canon 100 mm L lens, KX-800 twin flash with diffuser. I shot in manual exposure mode, settings at f22, 1/125, ISO 160. Handheld.

Shirley, this is a great look at this little spider. The details stand out very well. It’s perch is good for a grin with the simplicity letting the details in the spider stand out even more.
