Description
I photograph this Sparrow at the bird feeder and I like the head turn . I know branch on the right side of the frame is a bit much, but you are looking at the un-cropped right corner of the frame and remove it is a weak point of DXO PhotoLab.
Thank you for stopping by.

Very neat, Peter. Looks like you just clipped the toenail on the bird’s left foot, but it’s dark and out of focus there anyhow, so it’s not a big deal. The face is wonderfully sharp. It’s interesting how the leaning pose of the bird matches the vertical limb so well. It helps make this work. Usually we’re fighting messy backgrounds on the small birds, but it might have been nice to really stop down for this one, though it probably didn’t stay put long enough to change settings.
Nice background there. And the pose is terrific, mirroring the branch. I see the clipped foot too…not a big deal.
Nice one, sir.
Hi Dennis & David
The Sparrow just popped down on the branch and was only there for a few seconds. Thank you for the comments.

Lovely cheeky shot, Peter!
Hi Mike
The Sparrow has a face, that more than just a mother could love.
Thank you for the comment.

Very nice look, Peter, at the White-throated Sparrow (one of my nemesis birds that I’m always happy to see, but rarely do, but is definitely a common bird on my occasional trips back east). It’s interesting that the bird and the more vertical branch are parallel, but the branch does tend to draw my eye, and I’d be tempted to remove it.
Hi Allen
Thank you for the comment, removing something that big is not a strong point in DXO PhotoLab.
