Here Comes The Sun

This is the tallest Barrel Cactus I’ve ever seen. It was about 4 feet tall. As always they seem to find areas around rocks and dry washes that seem to benefit from the monsoonal & rain runoffs.

Excellent image, and nice touch with the sunstar. Well done.

Lovely line from the Cholla thru the Barrel Cactus to the sunstar! Lovely details in a bleak environment.

Paul, your careful timing show well here with the sunstar and touch of back light on the cacti. Looks like a great morning to be out, enjoying.

@David_Bostock @Diane_Miller @Mark_Seaver …thank you for the kind comments on this scene. I rarely attempt any photos toward a rising or setting sun. Some folks are experts in that arena… :sunny:

This looks almost like some kind of alien life form standing in the desert and enjoying the sunset! Nice job with the exposure and catching the light on the cactus. The sun star is a nice bonus also.
