Was out shooting flowers this morning and this Anole snuck up into the scene. We have a bazillion of these little guys with a number of them colored like this and others a bright green. I used to think this was winter coloring but I’m not sure. If anyone can shed some light on this I’d appreciate it. All comments welcome. >=))>

Bill, this Anole does blend in well. I do like the subtle hints of blue mixed in with the pile of sticks camo pattern. Can’t help with the coloration question.

Great photo Bill. I don’t know much about the different species either, however, I do know that we have a lot of them here in the Texas hill country. They are really fast, unless you can capture them while they’re sunning the hot afternoons.

Excellent, Bill. A very good shot of this anole and it certainly shows of its ability to blend in. I don’t know the reptiles down there, but this website should solve the coloration question.
