Great catch of the action, David. Beautiful detail and color. I wonder if you have another frame where you could steal a little bit of the perch that’s not showing here to cover up the pipe?

I like this one a lot. The frozen “action” is very cool. Sharp, well-captured subject.

Nice job getting rid of the pipe, David. I didn’t see it at first either-the bird and the rest of the perch are such eye-catchers.

David - this is excellent! Love acorn WP’s anyway, and this is a wonderful capture of their antics. I also didn’t even notice the pip wince the image is so nice, but good job getting rid of it. I saw your comment about feeling like a kid in a candystore in Costa Rica, with all the spectacular birds. I felt the same - what a feast for a bird photographer!
