Acorn Takeoff

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Here’s a moment I got of an acorn woodpecker taking off from a birdbath out on our deck taken thru glass. I like that it shows off their very cool wing feathers.

Specific Feedback

Cropping? Saturation?

NIce job on this one, Dave. The spread wings really show off the patterns, but also show off the wear and tear of a summer taking care of kids.

Really nice catch here, Dave. The bird is in a good position.
The BG is pretty distracting, though, and you might want to try to reduce it a good bit. Thereare also some processing glitches evident between the lowest wing tips and the upper ones.
A great look at this woodpecker!
