Homestead Open House

I had the fortunate opportunity to photograph this homestead in Eastern Oregon in 2006. I thought I’d post a few images from the tour. The property has been demolished since I was there.

All shot with a Canon 1Ds II and 24mm Tilt Shift lens. Converted from raw in Adobe Camera Raw and then converted to B&W.

Nice series. I especially like the lack of hardware. The last image is great and the processing looks terrific. Glad you got a chance to document it before it was razed.

Wonderful architectural shots, with the first downright classical. I love the details and the tonalities are so well controlled. I’m glad you got to document it!

David, if this old structure could share it’s history from it’s inception to it’s date of being abandoned it has got to be unique in it’s own right.
The fact that it has now been demolished it’s history will die out beyond photographs such as your images posted here… :sunglasses:
