Taken yesterday at a fabulous duck pond. Dennis Plank, Dan Kearn, and myself spent some quality time with a bunch of ducks.

WOW! Awesome looking Woodie in flight shot! You must have been thrilled to get this one! I sure would have been. Terrific sharpness on the bird on the colors look great to me. Nice pose angled toward us just right. Nice wing blur and love the water drops too. Minor nits are that I think you could take out the dark rectangle in the background in front/below the bill and it seems that some of the whites on the head are a bit hot (I think they’re close enough where you could tone them down some and be fine). Congrats on a great image! I’m jealous…
You nailed this David and i am sure you have more.
Whites look fine to me and the nice wing position let the sun in just right.
I would also remove the dark blob below the bill.
Love the water drops…
Repost without blobs and some subtle shade reduction on the head whites. The blobs were some artifact that was affected by the Topaz AI sharpen program and I just didn’t notice it. Now I know what to look for when using this add-on.
Awesome, David. That new lens combined with the 850 is some combination, though it certainly helps to have the right person operating it. A stunning flight shot. I do think the whites could come up a bit, but otherwise perfect.
