I Go To Pieces

This is one of those; “if a tree fell in the forest does it make a sound” things. This was well off the beaten path on the fringe of the Teton N.P.
The title was tied back to the Del Shannon written hit song sung by Peter & Gordon.

Cool scene - I love nurse logs for all their activity and life. This one is isolated quite nicely in the grass - something hard to find. I like the break between the trunk and branches (roots?). I wish the patch of blue was more obviously flowers in the small view, but they are way over there so it makes sense that I’d be puzzled at first. The blacks seem a little deep here, but it’s maybe a stylistic choice.

@Kris_Smith thank you for the review & comment. I will check the blacks. I usually set those at R-15 G-15 B-15 and assume I did that here. This area was extremely dark in the wooded area and at first light sunrise… :sunglasses:

Paul, this is a neat find, with two parts of a decaying tree set of subtly by the flowers at the top.
