Always nice to find a really good image in the old files, Peter. This one’s a beauty. I could see trying a tighter crop to see if you can get rid of the bright almost horizontal reed in the upper left without getting it too tight for the heron.
Hi Dennis
Thank you for your comment, after about 30 minutes of playing around, I come up with this repost.

Nice job on the whites and the grasses in this one Peter. I’ve been going back through some of my old files this month too. I like your re-crop too.
Peter - this is a really nice find in your old files!
The new edit is excellent - good handling of the whites, a nice pose, interesting grasses and overall just a fine image.
Well-done!
HI Peter - I really admire these elegant birds. This is a fine catch of one with good sharpness and solid exposure on the whites. Well done.
Thank you Allen, Snowy Egrets are always fun to photograph.
Peter
We don’t have Snowy Egrets in this part of the country, so always nice to see one. Got to love those feet. Good detail and handling of the whites and the water and grass make for a pleasing environmental scene. I like the cropped version and the overall composition.
Hi Allen
Thank you for the comment.
