Ice in yet another form!

Image(s)

Image Description

Ice can present itself in so many ways, especially as it ages, grows and changes. This bit was along the shore of the river. I’m not sure exactly how it formed but it happened over several days with temperature changes that must have included some sublimation and recrystalization. However it happened it was a delight to find and photograph it. Clearly there is no end in sight for the many forms ice can take!

A very nice find and capture, John. It needs to be viewed in the large view. I’m not sure I would have guessed it was ice just looking at it and not seeing the title. Well seen and captured.

John: Sometimes your images elicit an immediate reaction from me and for this one it’s, “Pick up sticks.” Would be really hard to pick these up without moving the others. Nicely spotted and a fine frame filling abstract. >=))>

@Bill_Fach yes, it was definitely one of those instances we are all familiar with where any movement or even exhaling warm are would have made for a much different photograph!
