This photo, works much better than the previous one. Even though the light was wonderful in the last photo or redbud, this one has much better overall balance and vibrant color. Nothing distracts from the two trees and the color contrast betweenthe redbuds and the surrounding foilage works very we.. I even like the bare tree between them, it adds so muc interest.
Hi Mike,
I am liking this one much better than the last. This image doesn’t have the sweet warm light of the prior scene, but I think you filled up the frame very nicely with no distracting BG and I think the combination of greens and lavenders work perfectly together. I also quite like that sycamore with it’s leaves just starting to make an appearance. Beautifully done; no suggestions from me.
I agree with those above, though for me, it’s a close call. I like the less distracting background, but the two trees create a kind of stasis we didn’t have in the other image. That said, I like the “homely” tree in the middle (in air quotes as it’s a lovely tree but by comparison nothing like its neighbors). That creates the tension that might normally be missing in an image of a pair.
Mike: I love just about anything redbud so this is immediately pleasing for me. I do like how you filled the frame with all that marvelous detail and color palette. The light on the original post was wonderful but I think you more than made up for it with this capture. >=))>
