Incoming Summer Storm

We were in the Sierras on the east side several years ago and enjoying the wildflowers (matilija poppies) when the sky darkened to almost black and a big summer storm rolled in. I like the contrast between the cheerful, bright flowers and the foreboding sky.

Kathy, I agree, the contrast between the poppies and the very dark clouds is very dramatic. The bit of rain coming down on the left adds nicely to the story.

I kinda like that you didn’t cool the WB on this image. I would have been tempted to do it myself.
