Just before the light was too low

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

A few days before I made this image I passed in the evening a field full of buttercups, on bike and without camera. In the twilight, two roe deer were grazing between the flowers. I returned a day later with camera and by car, a bit earlier, hoping for a shot from the car window. No success. Two days later I was lucky. The light was already fading and a bit blue, but at the edge of the field a roe deer appeared. Far away, unfortunately, but at least I could give it a try.

Specific Feedback

Any and all. The colors are typical for the time of day, and therefore a bit blue. I decided not to change the CB. Do you prefer a more “daylight” image?

Cropped, the frame is about 40% of the raw file.

Love the photo. I also really like the colors, they represent the time of day so well. I love the framing with the deer seemingly engulfed in the buttercups. I think the photo really tells the story very well.

The colors are beautiful, Han. It’s a very good shot.

There’s a bright spot at the top center that’s a little distracting.
