5 image composite, iso 1600, 200-500 at 500mm, f8, 1000th, handheld, D500, each image from 40
% full frame, processed in ACR 11.2, Topaz Adjust, PS CC, TK sharpening at 10%, took me a while to figure out how to blend multiple images on a white canvas…

Very interesting project. Good series of captures. Having worked with several captive individuals, I think of them as more brightly colored. Maybe it’s just me, but I would boost the saturation a bit.

A cool thing to do with those images, David. I’ve just shelved mine because they were relatively small in the frame, but they certainly work this way.

The saturation looks ok to me. Just about what I remember from all the close-up views we had of it perched.

I like it, don’t know how to do it but might learn…
The concept is good, like the blank BG and you have nice poses.
Saturation looks fine for the small birds, any more at this scale would overwhelm.
Nice work.

Hi David,
Very nice composite. I like how you have placed the birds - the one on either end at the same height and the ones in between a little higher. Well done.
