Dave - a nice mid-flight catch here! Detail looks good.
The peanut butter makes me hungry!
The eye looks a little “vacant” but could likely be improved with a little selective “levels” adjustment.
The little white blip on the lower pinecone draws the eye and might be offed.
Nice BG too - sweet image!

You did a good job freezing the motion for this quick tiny bird. The pine cone adds some context to the story. You might try a very weak fill flash on future shots to bring out the details in the face and for adding a catchlight in the eye. Just a suggestion and the image turned out very well as presented…Jim

Great job freezing the action in this little guy, Dave. I’ve never seen one come to peanut butter here. Maybe I need to pick up some pine cones next time I run across some. Douglas fir cones just don’t work the same. I agree with Jim that a touch of fill flash would add some zing to this image.
