Description

I snagged this inflight pose of a red-breasted nuthatch about to taste some peanut butter on a hanging pine cone. It’s a “baited” shot but the only way I’ve been able to get an inflight shot of one.

The color, head and eye contact are nice it is just to bad flying angle is not from the side or front.

As Peter said, too bad it didn’t face you for this one, but still very nice action. The detail looks very good.

Hi Dave, nice you got the face sharp even though the angle is not ideal. Pleasing BG. Interesting image - those feet look huge.

Yes, especially their thumbs. Extra large for walking around upside-down, which they do a lot.
