Great catch on the take-off, Dave. The background does seem rather obtrusive to me and I’m not seeing much of any detail in the bird’s plumage. I suspect at 1/1250 there was enough motion blur to remove any small feather detail. The way the catchlight is streaked would indicate some motion blur. PS had a filter that was supposed to remove that several years ago, but I think it was a flop since it’s been removed. I tried it a couple of times without any real success.
