Lady in Black (Birch)

Shoot me – I couldn’t resist this challenge! Would have posted it at 12:01 am Monday but our internet was down. I shot this tree in 2001, on film, somewhere along the north rim of the Grand Canyon, and I knew exactly what I was going to do with it when I got home. I had to do some searching to find a shot suitable for hair. I no longer have the original film or even the scanned file, just the flattened version of the finished PS file.

What fun, Diane. I love it! Very cleaver. Glad you still had it in your stash of images. Thanks for the smiles.

I, for one, am not about to shoot you. I love this sort of thing and this is very well done.

That is just plain awesome, Diane. Very creative and so mesmerizing. Well done.

Oh! How very Dianeish!

I’m very pleased you resurrected the image. It’s put a smile on my face that will last for a good while.

Great fun, well conceived and well processed, Diane! Now if only I’d have made the connection between Valentine’s day and what might be seen in tree trunks back when I came up with the topic…
