The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Checking out a duck lake in the neighborhood and found that the distant 3/4 was frozen so all the ducks were at my end. Good start. With my new camera, started panning and shooting, only to realize I was on AV, not TV. Well, I am really happy with this “mistake”; the camera allowed me to see what I could never see with my eyes.

Specific Feedback

I enjoyed the excitement i felt of seeing these mallards doing a normal unexciting thing … just moving around as a group. Does the combination of in-motion and frozen action intrigue you also?

Technical Details

1/13 sec Fujifilm X-t5 188 mm

What a treat! The in-out motion action is really working well here. Yes. It is certainly intriguing.

I thought the image could do with a little CW rotation, but when I tried it, the rotation did nothing to improve the already brilliant image. I also tried a B&W version…which I did like.

Dick: inadvertently or not, you’ve captured an intriguing image. There’s a great sense of speed and motion with the birds being oof but easily recognizable. Well done!

What a marvelous mistake you made on this one, Dick! You need to make a lot more just like it! The slow shutter speed was just right for this scene. It’s a glorious result and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Hi Dick, really terrific. The blurred motion from all the ducks makes for a very intriguing image. Mistake or not this really turned out well.

Excellent blur, even if not planned! The spots of colour are wonderful and the pano crop works well here.
