Lantana camara + repost

These are much like Spiderwort—good hedge flowers in a garden or a weed where you don’t want them. They need almost no maintenance, are happy and long blooming and the butterflies like them. These grew out of a pile of old bricks along the fence in our driveway, so they almost don’t need soil! I clipped a branch off for a studio shot. on the dining room table. This was lit overhead by ordinary tungsten room light and side-lit from natural light through one window, with a white poster-board background. A nine image focus stack.

Fantastic detail in the leaves and I love the lighting on them, Phil. I don’t mind the cut off leaves, but I do wish there were just a touch of room between the leaf on the right and the border of your frame. I don’t see any artifacts. Nice work.

Phil: Dennis took the words right out of my mouth. I think the point of the leaf on the right is enough of a positive element that I would give it some room rather than clip it by a crop. Superbly crafted image.>=))>
