Very cool, Sandy. Great pose, perch and prey. A bit more light in the eye would have been nice, but sometimes they don’t cooperate at all. Re the dropped out background-good job removing it, but Prairies are messy.

A good high quality prairie produces some good birds. BG makes the LB pop out of the frame. This is a subject that may have benefitted from some fill flash to get more details in the face and head. Still a fine shot and like what you did to the BG…Jim
