Critique Style Requested: Standard
The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
The sagebrush provides good perches and good photo opportunities. Also, makes for nice backgrounds. Again, I’ve avoided a tight crop to maintain a sense of the environment, though maybe I should have done something with the twigs on the right.
Specific Feedback
Any thoughts appreciated.

Nice singing pose here! All the complimentary colours work great.
I have mixed feeling about those right twigs - they seem kinda overwhelming and might be trimmed down.
I like the environment, but perhaps this image doesn’t need as much.
Fine shot either way!

I’m fine with the framing on this one, Allen, though I could also see a more horizontal crop with a fair amount off the bottom. I like the twigs in front of the bird. Nice pose and a super background.

This is one of the few times that I’ve seen a horned lark perched above ground. Comp looks fine. although you want to try other crops to see whether the comp can be strengthened. Pose is excellent and the overall image says the West is Good! Overall, a nice under challenging lighting. Well done…Jim

Hi Allen, nice catch of a really interesting bird. One I have never seen. I think I could go either way as far as cropping and dealing with the twigs on right. The calling pose holds my attention pretty well either way. Nice one.
