Not sure this qualifies for Fall finale, maybe the semi-finals.
Anyway, Aspens in the Rocky Mountains tend to grow straight and tall. Here in the Pacific Northwest they tend to have a bit more of a sinuous, dancing style to their trunks. This was taken in October 2015 in the Conboy National Wildlife Refuge in Washington State.

This is a tough one for me. I really like the colors and mood, but the comp seems crowded (the three trees need a little breathing room on the sides) and I could not figure out a solution. ?
David, the Aspens stand out well against the evergreens. There is a sense of dancing, that your long exposure added too because the aspen leaves are just a tad soft from motion blur. Your comp. looks good with its emphasis on the two taller trees, in a very challenging compositional situation. The modest number but well colored leaves fit your description of “semi-final” well.
