Least Sandpipers

I don’t know this image works or not because the two closest birds are less than in perfect focus. The light was pretty harsh. But I like the wing positions of all the birds.

A group of LeastSandpipers landed on the beach close to me and this one wandered within 10 feet or so. So this is nearly a full frame shot.

I like the back lit wings and the array of sandpipers, David, but the out of focus birds in front and the harsh light in general make it less pleasing than I would really like to see. It might make a neat image for a brochure or something, but as a stand alone image to hang on a wall, I don’t think it makes the grade.

I think it’s a cool shot, though maybe not technically perfect. So what? Still fun to see and shoot.

Maybe not a contest entry but still a pretty neat capture.
