About This Image
There are around 15 butterfly species around my home and Leopard butterfly is one of them. It was a thrill to capture this one showing most of its pattern.

Oh yeah that pattern is worth it! The compression from the long lens works really well here and that you have most of the butterfly in focus, too. One thing that feels awkward and strange is the second stem to the right. I know that the head of the flower is just behind the wing, but if you aren’t opposed to it, removing that stem would help a lot I think. I also like the next ‘target’ seeming to be lined up ahead of that little beauty. Nice catch!
Looking good with the revision. I like the slight realignment as well. Now it really looks to be evaluating that flower behind. Again…lovely catch, these guys are so hard to deal with sometimes.
Santhru: Definite improvement on the revision. My other suggestion would be to crop tighter top and bottom to create the illusion of lots of space for the butterfly to explore. This looks like a variant of the fritillary family that we have in the U.S. Very nicely done. >=))>
A great catch here. Along with Bill’s crop, I’d suggest toning down that bright ring in the LLC, with the burn tool - or even cloning it out.. This is a classy butterfly and photo.
Santhru, it looks like you have already received some good advice. I can’t think of anything to add. I do like how that oof flower is looking like it is the next target for the subject. Well done.
Santhru, the sharpness of the butterfly stands out well. Your revisions are a good improvement, although I’d sugest moving the butterfly a bit lower in the frame. (You might call the original, butterfly on stilts… )
