Lilies and a Dragonfly

These two Water Lilies just floated up near my dock and as I composed to shoot, a nice little red dragonfly alit on the bottom one.

D850, 24-120 @120mm, 1/400, f/7.1, ISO 200

Normal adjustments in ACR and then a dark darks mask to push the water out of viewing consideration. This requited painting back in some of the seedling details.

I missed this one - sorry. I like the positioning of the leaves - they are huge! If you’re just going for a bold look, you’ve got it. I’d like to see a little of the water though even if you do leave it dark. Divorced from their natural surroundings it’s a bit strange. Good about the cooperative dragonfly though!
