This is just lovely!! A cute, alert pose with fantastic detail in a lovely setting! It would probably be possible to remove the OOF branch in the LL corner – it competes a little with the gorgeous bird.

Another great catch, Allen. You’re really finding some great birds lately. I do agree with @Diane_Miller about that stray oof twig.

I’ve never seen one either so thanks for sharing. So typically sweet like sparrows are. The OOF branch could go safely. The lichens on the branch are soft and contrast nicely with the feather texture. What markings on this little one. No wonder they disappear so quickly.

Hi Allen, I like the background also. It really goes nicely with this sparrow. A fine pose and details. Good advice above. Well done.

Wow—Lincoln’s sparrow is a favorite of mine. You could fuzz out the LH side OOF branch if you so desire and or remove the OOF branch in the lower left too. It does frame the sparrow and adds something to the comp. So I can sympathize with you in leaving the image as presented. Well done…Jim

I have never seen this bird. Such a cutie, with wonderful markings and subtle colours. I have no further recommendations than what others have offered. Lovely image.
