"Lock on the Door"

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Seeing Diane’s Image really convinced me to post this simple image. A simple everyday item that we see. She also gave a natural look in her Image. This is the way I see !!! Things that can say everything not just from a simple composition but Tone and a Feel. I just wanted to post this and say thanks to Diane Miller. I really relate to this style of Photography. One of the coolest images i have ever seen was a photographer shooting a Stapler.

Specific Feedback

Just walking around months ago and I loved the simplicity and Tone.

Technical Details

ISO 400 F11 Shutter 500 edit in Photoshop. For Fun

Excellent lighting on this image, Gill. The textures and shadows are awesome.

Thanks. Check out Diane’s Ring and Rust image. She nailed that old rusty look. I love everyday images. We see it but do we see it. Thanks for showing interest. Tone in B&W photography is my goal.

Very cool, Gill! Ordinary stuff can provide great subject matter! It’s all about lighting and composition. One of my favorite subjects is old doorknobs, but they’re getting hard to find.

I really love photos of ordinary everyday items. The Tone can be more important than composition. It makes us look at our world differently. To see simply and see the texture and the whole vibe.
That’s how I see. :folded_hands::globe_showing_americas::folded_hands:
