Any pertinent technical details: This was shot locally with my D500, 2-500 lens, 1/2000th, f/5.6, 280mm, ISO 1800, hand held. It was an unusual sighting for up here. Right place at the right time, and I caught it ruffling around… extra fun.

Excellent shot. Love the pose and the focus, but would crop a bit from bottom to remove the dark area in the sand (mid bottom).

Very nice, Dave. Excellent detail and I love the ruffled look. I agree with Jim about taking a touch off the bottom and you might try adding some canvas on the right.

Great pose - love all the wonky feathers. Agree with the crop suggestions given above. Nice image.

Hi Dave, this is an awesome pose with great details in good light, if you have more room on the right I think a horitzontal rather than a vertical would work better here.
