Description

This Blue came straight from the Ct River and never slowed down, until out into the Old Lyme sound. The photo was taken from the Zodiac behind the Ct River on July 26, at 8 AM. Thank you for stopping by.

Technical Details

Canon R5, Canon 100-500mm & 1.4ext, f10, 700mm, ISO 400. Using local contra points, I adjusted the highlight, saturation and coloring on the Blue in DXO PhotoLab 8, The shot was cropped by 60% into a 16by9.

Great head on shot Peter. The gliding wing position is really good.

I like the wing position and the angle of the bird to the viewer, Peter. It’s particularly impressive when the larger size is opened and it fills my screen.

Hi Peter, nice incoming shot with the bird in gliding mode. I like the slight angle of the bird. The heron seems just a tad soft for my taste.

Great to get a flight shot coming at you. Nice wing position and looks as if it was flying into the morning sun.

Thank you for the comments. Allen & Allen, the Blue is flying head on into the sun and here is a re-post with Unsharp Mask default setting turned on and Lens Softness Compensation"s detail and global values increased.
