Looming Iceberg

Critique Style Requested: In-depth

Self Critique

As we approached this massive iceberg on a gloomy day , the thought off the Titanic approaching a similar berg with tragic consequences came to mind.

Creative direction

I darkened the sky and added a lot of contrast and texture to the sky trying to give the scene a sinister look. I lightened the iceberg trying heighten its foreboding look.

Specific Feedback

Has my vision been adequately portrayed? Too overdone?

Not overdone at all Paul! Not to my eye. It’s quite dramatic, yes, but these icebergs ARE dramatic, and deserve the processing to bring that out. The sun adds so much to the mood, especially that it’s partially obscured by clouds (the sinister effect you were looking for :<), making me see a moon/nightshot. I also like how dark the water is with just the right amount of detail to keep my eye on the iceberg. Very well done, IMHO.

Thank you for your critique. Paul
