Lower Calf Creek Falls

Another one from several years back now. I’d hiked back to this location early one morning and waited for some decent light to expose the waterfall and the cliffs surrounding it.

Paul, this is a beauty. The greens and the falling water stand out so well from the rocky surroundings. Clearly an “oasis in the desert” that does a fine job of putting me right there.

I am so used to seeing your beautiful images of JTNP I had to look twice when I saw your name, Paul. This looks like a lovely oasis in the desert and a great spot to relax. Beautifully done.

Yes, the Escalante region has some incredible waterfalls. This is a beautiful shot with stunning color. You did well with the lighting considering that it was probably mid day before it reached the waterfall.

Another nice waterfall, Paul! I like the splash of color from the moss. The large version really has nice presence (almost like being there).
