Yes, it definitely works, and works well. Great perspective. No suggestions for improvement, you’ve done a masterful job.
What a unique and beautiful image. A fascinating way to photograph this flower.
This is beautiful - shades of Georgia O’Keeffe.
You have created a new flower of magnolia for me nicer of what nature do. A splendid essential work.
Gorgeous, Tony. No suggestions from me. This is just perfect.
Tony: Truly exceptional work. I was out shooting maroon magnolias this evening and got some similar comps. My one and only tiny suggestion would be to clone in the petal texture into the URC. That relatively dark gray triangle grabs my eye a bit. The ULC doesn’t bother me at all. Most excellent shot. >=))>
It’s a beautiful image as is - I have just two queries. One is whether a pefect centring would be even better or not, the other is whether a little more room at the top might have shown some interesting flow of lines. A very intimate view of a lovely flower whatever.
Thanks for all the comments! Ian, I tried your centering suggestion but prefer the original.
Tony
Very lovely and unusual portrait of the magnolia
