Male Dragon Swallowtail + Rework

Rework:

Image Description

Not often do I get a butterfly staying still in the afternoon - in the shade too - so that I can do a stack. This guy obliged, however, a couple of days ago in Korea. It is one of my favorite species. It was waiting for the females, who have not emerged yet. Only this spring form (new generations come in summer and autumn) has these red spots on the forewings.

Are you happy with the rather busy surroundings? I am, as this is where I usually see both males and females.

Pertinent Technical Details

OM1 + 60mm f2.8 macro 1/400 f5.6 ISO 400 6 shots stacked in Zerene.

Some tonal treatment in LR and tidying in PS, with minimal cropping.

Mike: What a beautiful critter and very nicely captured. My only concern with the BG is the brown ground clutter. I would be tempted to crop a bit tighter and add a vignette to decrease the prominence of that part of the BG. Hope his wait was successful. >=))>

Yes @Bill_Fach. I do like your improvement. Rework above. No sign of females yet.

Mike, what a beauty you found here. I like the rework.
