Mallard

There were a lot of mallards around (as usual), but I was attracted by the setting the mallard was in.

Hi Allen. I also like the setting. It’s one that most people would walk right past. You handled the flat light well, with a good exposure on the darks. And you left a good amount of room on the right. My only two critiques are that I wish there was better detail in the bird, and I’d prefer a little more room on the bottom and a little less up top.

Hi Allen, I like the setting as well - interesting vegetation around the duck. Nice tones given the light. Agree with more room on bottom. The bird’s head looks kind of soft to me like focus was more on the vegetation on the left behind the bird.
