I love the gold globes. I assume the tree was photographed through foreground flowers on a shrub, but the effect is a combination of crystal ball, fireworks, and sun flares. The moon adds to a sense of dreaminess and perhaps seeing through a galaxy.

I hate to say this Joao, but the foreground flowers in front of the tree immediately reminded me of a mistletoe infestation, which I find difficult to get past. The lower ones are nice, but the ones above just don’t suit my taste. Other than those, I like the composition and the light in the image.
This is a very creative frame and concept, Joao. I can see how rhis could be a love it or hate it scenario with the OOF flowers in the foreground covering part of the tree in the background but I have to say that I love it with the exception of the top splotch but it doesn’t ruin it for me. I still love it. The moon is intriguing. I’m not sure if it helps or hurts but it contrast nicely with the SUN spots all over making for a moon and sun image. I might dodge the very dark shrub in the bottom left corner as it feels heavy to me and it’s the darkest part of the image for my eye. The colors look good to me. Super creative.
I do like how you put the out of focus flowers into the tree to look like fruit – oranges maybe. I like the repetition of all the circles that are of a similar size to the moon. At first I thought it could use a tighter crop, but then thought, maybe a little loser, especially on the right. It would give the moon a little more breathing space. Nicely seen and put together. (As someone else said, people will likely love or hate it. I love it.)
Hi Joao,
I do not want this to sound negative because it is a wonderful thing to think outside the box so as to keep the creative juices flowing, but this one does not work for me. I just can not get past all of the OOF yellow areas in the scene; particularly on the beautifully lit tree.. I suspect this will be one of those images that people will really like it or they do not. This is just my opinion of course. It would be boring if everyone always liked the the thing; so keep on experimenting.
@Marylynne_Diggs mentioned dreaminess, and that’s my initial impression too. After reading the comments so far, my second impression is that this is a bit of a Rorschach Test, as it seems to be more polarizing than most of the images we see here.
I fall in the camp of liking this a lot. The OOF parts are obviously very purposeful, and they add a quality that supports the dreamy take of the image overall. The moon is a wonderful addition that magnifies the depth of the image.
Great minds! LOL. I was just thinking about trying a shot like this if I could find the right subject. I really like it. I do wish for a few oof blooms on the right side of the tree. Top notch.
