Technical Details

I continue to explore this theme, which I’ve called “a kind of Forest,” where I try to create and discover the trees through different perspectives and compositions.
Some are more obvious than others; some work better than others.
I’ve enjoyed creating this kind of image, but I’m afraid I might be repeating the same photo over and over—always the same theme. Am I?

Specific Feedback

.

Joao, this is a fine abstract scene. A very unique perspective here. I might clone out or crop out the top left leaf? just for another look see. That item has a tendency to be a bit of an eye draw. Just a thought… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I like this a lot. Over doing it? I don’t think so. My thoughts echo @Paul_Breitkreuz about the leaf. Also there seems to be a dust spot just to the right and below said leaf.

Joao,

Wonderful abstract. My mind wants to see the tree and it gives me the clue that the photo is right side up, but the light on the all the lily pads is what throws it all off. I think its a great photo that makes you think. I am not sure either way about the lily pad in the ULC.

Hi Joao,
My initial reaction is that I am loving this very creative intimate scene. I like the abstract nature of the tree as it seems to be hiding among the lily pads. My only suggestion would be the already mentioned crop of that pad in the ULC. The more I look at this I am thinking of a crop of about half of the negative space at the top. Just my opinion of course. Very nicely done!
