Hi Gary,
that is a really beautiful scene. I love the way the water runs through the image. The contrast between the greens and reds is great.
But the bright trunk in the lower right corner distracts my eye. I think cropping is not an option here, because then the beautiful little water cascade would be too close to the edge of the frame. Maybe I would try to darken the area a bit.
Alaska must be fascinating. Sounds like breath-taking nature.
Gary, what a great intimate landscape you’ve captured here…so much color abounds! Love the stream down the middle, a nice leading line taking you up through the scene, which was fun to explore. As for the that bright area in the LR, not sure if it’s wood or rock, and it’s somewhat muted by the growth on it, but perhaps could be darkened a bit. Also, it would have been nice to have made the water a little silky with a slower shutter speed.
